Kalaw Trekking

Duration - 2 days 1 night

"Palaung" one of the tribes of Shan nationals. They all are Buddhist and their native is cool and calm. The national costume of the Palaung is Black shirts for males and females are red and black blouse and red striped longyi (sarong) and they used to put towel roundel the head and also used to wear silver rings at waist and silver bracelet at the wrist.
Day 1: Kalaw - Ywarthit - Taryaw - Viewpoints
After breakfast trekking to Nyaungone village about 3 hours, continue to ShweMinphon (Palaung village) about 1 hour. Lunch break and trekking to Ywarthit (Palaung village) about 2 hour, proceed to Taryaw (Palaung village) about 30 minutes. Visit at Palaung traditional long house, tealeaf drying, and next to view Point. Dinner and overnight at village house.
Day 2: HninKhaGone - MyinHtaik- MyinSainGone - Kalaw
Breakfast and continue trekking to HninKhaGone (Palaung village) about 1 hour, proceed to KanBarNi (Danu village) about 45 minutes and MyinHtaik (Danu village) about an hour and 30 minutes. Lunch break and continue to PanTinGone village (TaungYoe village) about 30 minutes. Back to Kalaw passing through MyinSainGone (Danu village). Overnight in Kalaw.
Kalaw - Pindaya Trekking

Duration - 3 days 2 nights

As those houses in villages have long legs, buffalos and cows can be bred under them. Thatch is used mostly for roofing but some use zinc sheets. Villagers live completely relying on mountain, weather condition and its forest for agriculture and live stoke breeding.
Day 1: Kalaw - MyinKa - ZaeDiGone - TharYe - ThitYarBin
Early breakfast and trek to MyinKa village of Danu race about an hour and half and continue hiking along valley to ZaeDiGone village. On the way enjoy panoramic view of Yat hill left side and Loimaw dam in right side. Continue to ZaeDiGone about 2 hour. Lunch at village monastery and continue to ThaYe Shan village about 1 and 20 minutes hike and western side of the village, visit a natural lime stone cave with Buddha Images inside. Proceed to NaungYe about an hour and last trek of the day to ThitYarBin village nearly 2 hours. Dinner and overnight at village monastery.
Day 2: YaePoke - KyaungSonKong - MinTainBin - TaungMyintgyi
Continue trek to YaePoke nearly 2 hours and then to KyaungSoeKong for an hour and half. Continue trek to ThitPok village passing through TaungBoKwe and Inni villages about an hour and half where you can have lunch break. After lunch continue trek across over Aungban to YwarNgan road to MinTainBin village about half an hour and next to MyinTwin village an hour trek. MyinTwin village uphill trek to TaungMyintgyi Palaung village for half an hour. Overnight at village monastery.
Day 3: TaungMyintgyi - YaSakyi - Pindaya
Today trek through PalaungMountains to YaSakyi Palaung village about 2 hour. Continue trek to MaeNe taung over an hour and then to PinSeinPin for another an hour. Lunch break and continue to trek to HtinSiuGone village over an hour and to TaungBawGyi village (Danu) for one more hour. Visit in the village and continue trek to Pindaya for last an hour trek.
Kalaw - Inle Lake Trekking
Duration - 3 days 2 nights

Day 1: Kalaw - MyinMahti - Beinwe
Morning after breakfast, transfer by car to our trek route. Began downhill trek about 30 minutes and uphill trek passing through the pine trees about one and half hours to TaunggyiChey Palaung village located in the foot of MyinMahti hill 5602 ft. Explore near by MyinMahti cave and return to village, lunch at village monastery. After lunch continue to LaMing village (TaungYoe) about over an hour. Continue trekking about 2 hour downhill trek to BinNwe Pa-O village located at the Heho plain. Overnight at village house or Monastery.
Day 2: BinNwe - KoneHla - Nan Yoke
Today continue trekking passing through plain to KoneHla village for two hour, and then to PetuPauk mountain cut over an hour and Lunch break. After lunch trek up through along narrow cut to the other side of Nyaungshwe plain and arrive HtiThein (Pa-O) village after two and half hours trekking. There is pleasant viewing of mountain plantations as well as farms on the Inle plains and Inle Lake. Proceed to Nan Yoke (Pa-O) village about an hour. Overnight at village monastery.
Day 3: Nan Yoke - TaungMouk - InThein - Khaungdaing
After breakfast, trekking to TaungMouk village take about an hour. You will see Stones naturally coloured in black around the area. Next an hour trek to Indain dam, next to Indain village about an hour. Visit Indain old pagodas and end of your trekking. After lunch at Indain village, transfer by boat to your hotel.
Pindaya Trekking

Duration - 3 days 2 nights

Day 1: Pindaya - YaeSaGyi
After breakfast an hour trek to Huttni (Danu) village, and another an hour and half to SeKyaInn village surrounded by mountains and beautiful sceneries. Lunch break and next to south YaeSaGyi (Palaung) village about two hours, along the way hill tribes villages and activities of their daily life, working in terrace- farm. Most of these tribes are keep their tradition than a village near by town. You will be warmly welcome by the villagers. The opportunities in that village is sunset with very beautiful Mountain View. Overnight at village monastery.
Day 2: YaeSaGyi - TaungPawGyi - KanHlaGone
Breakfast and continue about an hour trek to MeNetaung and next an hour and 30 minutes trek, you will arrive at PinSein village. Then hiking an hour and half along foot-path to TaungPawGyi (Danu) village. Lunch break in the village and hiking through pine trees for half an hour get to Pine Hill village. From Pine Hill village down hill trek to KanHlaGone village. Overnight at village monastery.
Day 3: KanHlaGone - TheinGone - ShwePahto - Pindaya
After early breakfast trek an hour to Pan-sit village and continue to TheinGone village passing through KyanKhinMyung and OakThet (Danu) villages over 2 and half hours. Lunch break and continue an hour and half trek to ShwePahto village where your driver will meet you and transfer by car to Pindaya.
Inle lake Trekking
Duration - day return trip

An early breakfast, transfer to MaingThauk village by boat or by car. MaingThauk to BowLattBat village about 2 and half hours. Next village to Inn Tha and LweKhot villages. After lunch, continue to KoneSon village about an hour. Last destination to the town of Nyaungshwe about 2 and half hours trek.
Inle Lake - Taunggyi Trekking

Day 1: Nyaungshwe - MaingThauk - Kyauktalone
Transfer to MaingThauk village by car or boat 30 minutes and start trek to Htinet (Pa O) village passing through Magyigone, Minekhot, PanPyin, Tatgyi and Donethakhut villages about 5 hour. Most of the trek route is narrow up hill and along the hillside path which is hill in one side and other side is deep cliff, it is rather difficult trek however provides great views of the Nyaungshwe plain with the lake. Lunch at Htinet village monastery and continue trek to Kyauktalone (Pa o) village about 2 hour where you will meet with your driver. Dinner and overnight at village Monastery.
Day 2: Kyaukhtalone - Kakku - Taunggyi
Breakfast and depart by car to Kakku Pagoda about an hour drive. This pagodas is very impressive with it's beautiful 2548 pagodas believed to have been built since 307 BC and two old bronze ringing bells. Lunch at local restaurant and continue drive to Taunggyi about 2 hours. Arrive Taunggyi to complete this great experience.
Kyaukhtalone is a village of Pa-O national. The Pa-O nationals in Kyaukhtalone carry out sebesten trees plantations, which leave, are used in production of cheroots and farming of garlic, peanuts and corn as well. There are cottage industries in the town such as blacksmith, goldsmith and mats and baskets weaving.
Alaungtaw Kathapa Hiking

Alaungdaw Kathaapa National Park
The Alaungtaw Kathapa National Park was the first of its kind to be established in Myanmar. The reserved forest area comprising 620.32 sq. miles (397,003 acres) was designated to National Park status in 1984. Alaungtaw Kathapa National Park is 274754 acres of Pusoelone Forest and 122271 acres of Taungtwin Forest.
The Park is situated in Yinmabin Township of the Sagaing Division, west of the Chindwin river, and the east of the Myitha river.
The area was selected because the forests were mostly intact, and the forest types distinctly diverse as was also the tree species stocked within individual types of forests. Other floral species are also abundant, particularly a wide variety of wild orchids. The area is also rich in wildlife with the Tiger and the Asian Elephant being the focal species. Bird-life is varied, with about eighty species having been recorded; but the number of species occurring within the area is considerably higher.
The rainy season is said to be the period when the forests are most attractive and wildlife most visible. To enjoy the natural beauty and scenery of the Alaungtaw Kathapa National Park are diversity of ecological environments providing and ideal setting for natures oriental in eco-tourism.
Day 1: Mandalay - Alaungtaw Kathapa by car
Morning departure from Mandalay to Alaungtaw Kathapa. Driving about 2 and half hours to a SinPhyuShin bridge near the town of Monywa and continue driving to a town of Yinmabin for 2 hours. Lunch break and proceed to Kapai village located at the foot of the hill about 1 hour and the rest trip will be up and down hill driving into the area of thick forest. After driving about 4 hours, you will get to a pagoda camp for overnight visitors.
Day 2: visiting around
Hiking around the sight or elephant riding. Bird washing and inspiration of peace and tranquillity from forest.
Visit famous scared site of Pagoda. Overnight at pagoda comp.
Day 3: Drive to Mandalay or Bagan
Drive back to Mandalay or proceed to Bagan.
Padarlin Cave Trekking

Duration - Day return trip

It is one of the most important prehistoric sites in Myanmar, estimated that the cave was used by primitive people between 10,000 and 15,000 years ago. In located 14 miles west of a town of YwarNgan. The cave is also situated 70 miles south east of Mandalay.
Driving from Mandalay to a small town "Kume" about 2 and half hours. From Kume to KingTar Dam for another 30 minutes drive and across the lake by boat for 15 minutes. Trek uphill to the cave in a middle of mountain about 50 minutes. Observe the prehistoric drawing pictures of animal and human subjects and weapons of the Stone Age. Return to Mandalay in the evening.
Characteristics of Padalin Cave and Wildlife Sanctuary are to preserve Padalin cave stone age culture which is an oldest culture found in Myanmar, to conserve environs surrounding the cave, to make habitat for mammals like Wild Elephants, Gaur, Leopard, Banteng, Sambar, many species of monkeys and many species of birds like Wood-peckers, and jungle birds.
Natmataung or KhawNuThum or (Mt. Victoria) Trekking

Day 1: Bagan - Chauk - Kampalat by car
Depart for Kampalat about 100 miles for 8-hour drive, across Ayeyarwaddy River over bridge. On the way you may have opportunity to see some of the prominent local birds of lowland area. Kampalat is an old British settlement town situates 4560 ft above sea. The temperature is cool year round and pleasant. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at Chin Village resort.
Day 2: Kampalat - AyeSakan (trekking + car)
After breakfast, drive to Hlalaungban village trek junction - 6 mile andhalf. Junction to Hlalaungban village for an hour and 15 minutes trekkingdown along mountains. At the Chin village, opportunity to observe way of life in Chin tribe. You could note Chin tribe women wearing various pattern of tattoo on their face. Return to road junction. Depart for AyeSakan 5700 ft above sea. Same route from village to motor road junction and about 14 miles for an hour drive through evergreen forest with large oaks and laurels which later changes in to a dry low pine forest with rhododendron. Lunch break at Mt Victoria junction. It is quite attractive sceneries with numerous kinds of native birds. Enjoy your stay and exploration in Mt Victoria forest. Proceed to Ayesakan village by car where you can see Mindut at 4860 ft right on the other side of the mountain. Dinner and overnight at AyeSakan village.
Day 3: AyeSakan - Kyarrdo - Mindut (car/trekking)
Today riding on car up traffic about 30 minutes. Leave the jeep at village trekking path and trek to Kyarrdo village about 1 hour. Lunch at village and visit Chin houses. At 3 PM, hiking down along Cheik Chaung small river 10 to 15 feet wide for an hour and 30 minutes. Your jeep will be waiting at CheikChaung bridge and next 30 minutes up hill drive to Mindut. This up hill drive provides magnificent view of the mountains. In Mindut you may see by chance, various Chin traditional dances (frighten away the monkey to protect their crops, dance when someone dies, ritual offering dance, frightening evils dance. Dinner and overnight at Victoria or Khraw-noo guesthouse.
Day 4: Mindut - Pontaung - KyaunChaung - Bagan (jeep)
Drive to Pauk, crossing over Pontaung about 45 miles for 4 hour. Pontaung and Ponnyar mountain range is very famous among archaeologist as primates discovered by the International team of the fossilized remains found from Pontaung formation about 34 to 50 million years. The team discovered fragments of such animals as turtle, crocodile, rhinoceros, and pig in Pontaung stone layers. Lunch stop at Pauk. Continue to Kyunchaung about 40 miles about 2 and half hour, across Ayeyarwaddy River by craft ferry and continue to Bagan. Dinner and overnight in Bagan.
Trekking to Chin villages

Depart for AyeSakan 5700 ft above sea about 12 miles for 4 hours through evergreen forest with large oaks and laurels which later changes in to a dry low pine forest with rhododendron. It is quite attractive sceneries with numerous kinds of native birds. From here you can see Mindut at 4860 ft right on the other side of the mountain. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at AyeSakan camp.
Day 4: AyeSakan - Kyardo (trekking)
Visit the blacksmith who has been doing this for 30 years. Depart by car up to 4 mile about 30 minutes and leave the jeep and trek to Kyardo village about 1 hour to a village where most people from this village speak their native Chin language and rather difficult to communicate unless you have proper Chin local guide. People grow maze, beans and tea plantation, beside most of the men in the villages are also skilled hunters. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at a local house.
Day 5: Kyardo - Mindut (trekking / car)
Trekking down to the valley to Chechaung about 2 hour, arrive at your jeep and continue driving on mountains to Mindut about 1 hour. This up hill drive provides magnificent view of the mountains. In Mindut you may note various Chin traditional dances (frighten away the monkey to protect their crops, dance when someone dies, ritual offering dance, frightening evils dance etc. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at local guesthouse.
Day 6: Mindut
In Mindut you may observe various Chin traditional dances, frighten away the monkey to protect their crops, dance when someone dies, ritual offering dance, frightening evils dance etc. You can also observe Chin musician who blow the bamboo flute with his nose and a church. Day 7: Mindut - Pontaung - Pakokku - Bagan (jeep)

Kyaington Trekking

Heho - Kengtong - Heho
Day 1
Fly to Kengtong with private airlines. Flights leaving around midday. Arrive Kengtong in the evening about 3 PM. All flights fly via Tachilake. Transfer to Hotel. Evening sightseeing - Mahamyat Muni Pagoda. Strolling around town and Sunset with landscape at the hill of a tree where 245 year old Kanyin (Diptero carpus) tree planted by King Alaungmintaya - the founder of Third Myanmar Empire. Overnight in Ken tong.
Day 2
This morning visit water Buffalo market and central market that you will have opportunity to see tribe people. We will drive about 45 mins and hiking to Pin Tauk area and trek into lash and green forest with beautiful landscape view. Visiting Akha and Enn tribe villages about 4 hours for entire trip. The hiking is easy and can be done slowly. Lunch brake at Pin Tauk waterfall. Return to hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 3
Today will drive to Loimwe about 2 and half hours drive for 22 miles. On the way, stop at Akha village about 7th mile north east of KengTong and stop at several more villages of Shan, Wa, Lahu and Akha tribes. Loimwe is located over 5000 ft or 1600 meter above sea. It is a hill station since British time and old colonial buildings and century old Catholic Churches can be seen today. It is great attraction to see sceneries along the way to Loimwe. We will back to hotel in the evening.
Day 4
We can have more of hiking to tribe villages. Driving by car about an hour and 15 minutes to get near Ho Kyin villages. Pang Ma Phai Akha village will need to hike about 30 minutes from there walk to Phala Akha village. Next to Na Phi Phank and Ho Kyin villages of Lahu and Akha tribes. Come down to our car and return to hotel.
Day 5
Today we will fly back to Heho or Mandalay. Our flight check in time is in the afternoon and allowing time will see around KengTong. Sightseeing - Hot spa, pottery making in Yan Gone village, Shan lacquer-were workshop, Naung Tong Lake and Wat Jom Kham Pagoda.
Putao Trekking in North

Day 1: Yangon
On arrival Yangon, meet you at airport. Allowing time for sightseeing. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon - Myitkyina - Putao by flight
After breakfast transfer, morning flight bounding for Putao. Arrival at Putao, small town located at the extreme north of the country, the foot of the southern slope of the Himalayas. to airport for Putao flight Myanma Airways operates Sun, Mon Wed and Friday of the week. Upon arrival at Putao transfer to local

Day 3: Trek to High Shangaung. – About 5 hours
Depart for the trek through the lush and green forests. Arrival at the higher village of Shangaung (495 m), populated by Lisu and Rawang tribes, two monitories of Kachin, which populates the north of the country. Discovery of the local life. Overnight at local house. BLD.
Day 4: Trek to Wasondum. About 6 hours
Trek to the Jade Mountain while crossing an old bridge made of bamboo. Discover on the way charming villages. Trek up to the ranges of the Jade Mountain located at 1400 m above sea. 2 hours of hike down in the forest, rhythmic sound of monkeys and stags and deer barking. Arrival at Wasondum (895 m), small village of the Rawang minority. Overnight at local house. BLD.
Day 5: Trek to Ziyadum. About 6 hours
Continuation of the trek through a wild environment. Crossing small river on a suspension bridge and goes under gigantic trees to Awadum, a small village of Lisu tribe. Proceed through the jungle. Arrival at Ziyadum (1065 m). Overnight at local house. BLD.
Day 6: Ziyadum
Day in Ziyadum village of Rawang tribe to discover way of life in this minority belonging to Kachin. Most of village people living on hunting and live happily and peacefully under guidance of a patriarch. If good weather, splendid panorama on the snow-covered tops of Himalayan. Rawang dances in the evening. Overnight at local house. BLD.
Day 7: Trek to Wasondum. About 6 hours
Return to Wasondum along different route. Stop at the village of Kalandum, surrounded by the mountains and the rice plantations in terraces. Arrival with Wasondum (895m) when after crossing the river on a suspension bridge. Overnight at Local house. BLD.
Day 8: Trek to High Shangaung. About 7 hours
Crossing over the Jade Mountain after the breakfast; tropical vegetation. Hiking down to Jusqu-au, a higher village of Shangaung. Overnight at local house. BLD.
Day 9: Trek to Putao. About 5 hours
Trekking down to Jusqu-au lower village of Shangaung through rice plantations. Meeting with local inhabitants. Visiting in the Morgur village of Rawang. End of the trek at Putao. Guesthouse. BLD.
